This letter is not about collecting mugs or souvenirs of different cities which is my hobby but a little more than that. It is the story of my Mother. Once upon a time, there was a young lady called Rabia AlMatar born in Sadiqabad in Pakistan & migrated with her brothers to London, the United Kingdom in the year 1970. She grew up as a British Asian girl at a very basic home with her parents and family. After getting married at age 16 years old to a university student from the middle east studying in London, she migrated again to Kuwait & lived there for 40 years up till now. She raised 5 children as a housewife in Kuwait with her parents left in London, UK then decided to make a retirement plan back to her childhood country (London) with her family & purchased a house near the sea-side looking at the beach from her bedroom window. She loves the weather there, the food, the peace & mainly her home garden. God is never wrong as he provided her with an area (Clacton-on-Sea) that is very quiet, environment friendly, and not very cold. Most of the people living in Clacton-on-Sea are retired & spending their time with nature – just like Rabia.

What I would like you to benefit from this story is that, though things seem to look & feel impossible for you to achieve due to your current situation and or responsibilities/ or even luck, never to forget your childhood DREAMS. As being her close son she always used to daydream with me where ever we are about having the exact home which she has now & enjoys every summer/ winter of the year. That time things were just like shooting star thoughts that come from time to time until we decided hopefully in god’s will it shall happen sooner than later. The goal was at that time is to only have a nice decent home in London, the UK where we can meet with the family members and enjoy the parks nearby, but definitely nothing like near the sea with the beach view from the bedrooms. The only reason why my mother is enjoying her ultimate dream is because of adding a little hope of spices in her fantasy area of life. If the house was something that did not come from the child-like fantasy goal, she wouldn’t have earned it. The only pre-requisite is that she “WANTED” not “NEEDED” the second holiday home nearby the sea where her family lived. So how did my mother change after receiving the first big goal, actually the second as her first was for me to excel in my academic career & earn a Master’s Degree. So, after interviewing her she claims that she NOW CHANGED by believing the impossible regardless of the circumstances of her abilities or even in the country’s laws, rules and regulations. What do I mean by that is how she is looking to buy another home & let it when she is not around in other countries like the United States or Turkey. Once she followed her dreams and believed in herself and God, the Universe to deliver her the command of what she asks for, she understood that living a dream just like Walt Disney, Oprah Winfrey or Queen Rania (the wife of King of Jordan- Abdullah II) is living from nobody to somebody is possible. Not only possible but very easy to do once the belief is there.

The last advice she gave me for all mothers like her is: “if you have pain in your body from aging, then buy a house near the sea-side & you shall be cured by walking bare feet on it.”
